- In Memoriam: Eleanor Clary – dear EL. She was a history teacher, a union rep, a board member, a good friend, and a good laugh around the tea table. You will be missed. One mutual friend wrote “so many fond memories.” What could be a better epitaph? Rest in peace.
- The Lenox Historical Commission (LHC) celebrated its 50th birthday on the first weekend in October. There were talks and walks and cake! As part of the celebration, LHC has a plaque program to identify historically significant Lenox buildings that are more than 75 years old. Currently there are 30 plaques installed, primarily in the Historic District. The plaques are a way of supporting historic preservation and celebrating your building’s unique place in time. The plaques typically identify the year the building was constructed and the name of the original owners. If you are interested in more information, email lenoxprojects@gmail.com
