The Monument Mountain Regional High School Building Project continues to make steady progress as the Design Team advances the 60% Construction Documents phase. Over the summer, the project reached several exciting milestones, including finalizing the building’s exterior brick palette and identifying additional contingency funding through careful financial management. The project remains on schedule and within the approved Project Funding Agreement budget as coordination continues with municipal agencies, utility providers, and the Massachusetts School Building Authority.
Next Steps: The project will be publicly bid in accordance with Massachusetts law (Chapter 149) in Spring of 2027. Prequalification process for bidders will tentatively begin this Fall, and final bidding will take place Spring of 2027. Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring/Summer 2027. The existing high school will remain fully operational throughout construction. The new school is scheduled to open for the 2029–2030 school year.
